BOA ~ Black Oak Arkansas 1971 ~ Review #36

Good ole Jim Dandy in his element, some like to call this a southern rock album and for what it’s worth I can agree but there’s a lot more to it than that…

I felt a bit folk and bluegrass elements at some points, there’s even a hint of religion in the lyrics and playing style at some points, definitely an album you can put on and listen all the way thru, it’s a early 70s era release so the usual is to be expected, long before there name and sound change in the 80s…

I really enjoyed this one I didn’t know much about them before but i’m glad I got it definitely worth the pick up, if 70s era or progressive folk rock is your thing give these guys a listen…
