Christina Aguilera ~ Genie In A Bottle ~ Review # 78

As much as 1999 was filled with pop music everywhere you looked, I wasn’t really paying much attention to it at the tine, I was slowly getting into the the underground scene, the place where the real artist were lol….

In a way Christina was the closest thing to the underground that pop had to offer back then, her sound was just so different than all the others, her singing and songwriting were the driving force instead of eye candy…

It’s an enjoyable album it’s pop so the sweet bubblegum stuff is there, but I like that it’s a bit more mature than most, a few up tempo songs to groove too, and a few slow ballads to sing along with, this one finds a nice balance between the two…
