African Chewing Stick ~ Review #27

Imagine a world without out toothbrushes… yep I know what ya thinking pretty funky rite, but there was a time before our favorite morning tool was invented, so what did they use you ask well they used the wonderful chewing stick…

I saw that the use of these wonderful tree branches of love date back as far as 3000 B.C for the Egyptians, but they weren’t just used by them around that time Chinese records show they were used in Asia too, archaeologists have said noted parts of early African civilizations used them as well, I was surprised to see even in Islam they make reference to it although they call there’s miswak, it’s the same principle…

So I know you’re thinking well it surely isn’t ancient times what purpose do they serve today, well not much has changed since then as they are still used for teeth brushing, but they are also given to smokers who want to quit as an alternative, I personally enjoy them for the many flavors they come in now these days grape, peach, orange ect, the V stands for vanilla one of my favorites…

So yeah that’s chewing sticks they can be found all over or online on any of the popular vegan or health food sites, they’re very inexpensive so it give them a try if at all interested…
